Advanced materials for energy systems
NanoScience
Water. Materials. Separation. Energy.
Our research group focuses on the rational design and fabrication of advanced materials and thin films to precisely control how molecules, ions, and fluids move and interact at small scales. We are driven by a fundamental curiosity about how nanoscale structure and interfacial chemistry govern the macroscopic performance of materials in real-world systems. At the core of our work is the belief that establishing clear structure-property relationships is the key to developing technologies that are more efficient, durable, and scalable. By combining synthesis, characterization, and computational modeling, we aim to translate foundational insights into practical platforms that address pressing challenges in environmental and energy applications.
